Compass House Emergency Shelter
In 2010,a total of 295 youths were provided with 2,257 days of shelter, food, and care. In total, 59%
were runaways, 25% were homeless, and 16% were throwaways. The average daily shelter population
was 6 with an average length of stay of 8 days. There were a total of 609 calls to the help-line.
Compass House Resource Center
In 2010, 179 youths were provided with case management. Between 13 -16 youths came to the center daily to meet with their Case Manager or the Independent Living Instructor to access needed services.
Sixty percent remained active with the program for over a year; 40% for at least six months.
